Bing
A reliability signal for search results, Wikipedia and University result experiences, and the design library and training guide the Bing team prototyped from.

In 2017, search results carried no signal for how reliable a source was. Users had to guess. I designed a way for Bing to say it.
My work on Bing covered user-facing product and interaction design with a focus on accessibility, brand continuity, components, and animation: the reliability indicator, the Wikipedia and University result experiences, a holiday sale campaign, and the design library and online training guide that raised the speed and accuracy of every designer's prototypes.
- Instituted a process to identify unreliable results, indicating the reliability of search responses with notifications, icons, and highlights, validated through usability tests.
- Designed the Wikipedia disambiguation experience for mobile so a Wikipedia result reads as a Bing result rather than raw Wikipedia CSS, and the University search-result comps.
- Led accessible, responsive design for Bing landing pages, including the holiday sale campaign across desktop and mobile breakpoints.
- Built the Bing design library and online training guide, including algorithms, rich captions, and nav cards, improving workflow and productivity for fellow designers.
- Collaborated with leadership on recommendations to increase site accessibility across all platforms.
Reliability became something a user could see at a glance, and the design library made Sketch prototypes faster and more accurate across the team.
